5 pro tips for healthy hair

The Volé hair system is a powerful weapon in the fight against dead hair, but it works best in conjunction with a healthy hair plan of attack. We often do things that damage our hair on a daily basis without even realizing it. The good news is that simple changes can prevent further damage, and enhance Volé's regenerative effects. We suggest you to make the most of your Volé experience with these simple PRO tips:

  1. Stimulate the roots of your hair. It's recommend to massage your scalp at least once a week. Massages encourage healthy scalp circulation and allow nutrient-rich blood to reach the roots. It's easy to do at home, or you can also ask your stylist. Massage your roots with the tips of your fingers. For even better results you can add special hair serums which stimulates hair growth and moistures your roots. (Hint Volé Regen Serum)

  2. Feed your hair from the inside. Fill up on foods rich in hair-healthy nutrients. Iron and zinc are recommended to help hair follicles to grow. Try some soybeans or lentils, together with a vitamin C-rich food, like lemon, to boost iron absorption. Protein is another important nutrient which promotes cell growth and repair. If you want to boost your hair strength, make sure you are getting at least 46 grams of protein a day. Eggs are an excellent source of protein, vitamin D, and Biotin. For a silky and hydrated hair don’t forget to eat Omega-3 Fatty Acids. Fish is a great source of Omega-3.

  3. Save your hair from sun exposure. It's not just your skin that needs sun protection, your hair does too. Studies show that sun exposure damages hair inside and out. If your hair is exposed to UV, it is more likely to experience protein degradation and loss of integrity. To avoid it, shield your hair from direct sunlight. Wear a hat when out in the sun, and always put sunscreen along the part if you must be exposed. Also be sure to use a conditioner with UV shielding protection. (Hint hint)

  4. Avoid high heat. Hair can sustain heat damage more easily than you would think. Repeated use of ahair dryer or iron can often have a damaging effect. If you must use them, try to avoid the hottest setting. When you use a dryer, point the airflow down on the hair shaft that way it will help you to prevent frizz. Try to use heat protection spray to prevent hair damage and breaking. It will also help your hair to look silky and feel soft.

  5. Nourish your hair. Always use a good quality shampoo, like that in the Volé system. Avoid products that contain sulfates or parabens. Both of these chemicals are unhealthy for you and the environment. When washing your hair, concentrate on cleaning primarily the scalp, rather than washing the entire length of hair. It will help you to avoid having dull and coarse hair. Conditioner is the best way to give your hair the nourishment it needs to stay strong. Using a good conditioner can significantly improve the look of damaged or weathered hair by increasing shine and improving strength. (Hint hint)
